Meat: Hot or Not?

In my research today I came across this great blog about dogs inspiring vegetarianism complete with a story about a culture that reveres the benefits of eating dog meat. In case you were wondering where I made the connection between loving my dog and not eating meat, the thoughts in this article sum it up nicely.

I must admit, however, that it is hard not to feel hypocritical living that lifestyle based on my concern for animal welfare while feeding my dog the meat that he requires for his own survival. I'd love to hear your thoughts on reconciling this apparent paradox. For instance, is feeding your dog a vegetarian diet to settle your conscience beneficial or harmful to your pet? Is it even possible to do so and maximize their nutrition?

Stay tuned: this may be next on my research list.
